Programs

Little Angels
This program is designed to express love and care for small children caught in the crossfire of the criminal justice system. The age group targeted is from birth to 12. The majority of the "little angels" are children with one or more parents incarcerated, on probation or on parole. However, it could even be the child of staff members in the field corrections. This is an active, ongoing ministry throughout the year. Donations earmarked for "Little Angels" provide $20.00 gift certificates from Wal-Mart, because they need medication, food, shoes, socks, underwear, or school supplies. The certificates are unrestricted.

Training Conferences & Seminars
We offer training conferences throughout the year and refresher and training courses for those interested in or using the NewLife Behavior curriculum. Training is also offered at the National Prison Ministry Workshop each June, and training is scheduled throughout the United States in cooperation with our Regional Directors. We also participate with other programs, such as National Outreach Prison Ministry, Nashville, inside state or federal prisons.

National Directory
We maintain an active list of churches of Christ and individual Christians in the United States known to be involved in jail and prison ministries. This is used as an effective tool in contacting workers in other areas where an offender may have been transferred or released. The directory is updated on a daily basis and copies are distributed freely to those attending the National Prison Ministry Workshop every June. Copies can be shipped upon request during the year. Donations to help with the cost of printing & shipping are appreciated. Workers are asked to help keep the information current by notifying us of additions, deletions and corrections.

Special Curriculum Packages
The NLB curriculum offers studies for Anger Management, Marriage Enrichment, The Mind of Christ, Priority One, Parenting in Absentia, Relapse Prevention, etc.

Portable Baptisteries
We are interested in seeing that all jails and prisons have the necessary equipment to immerse believers. Congregations, businesses and individuals can help make this possible. Since 1991, over 255 baptisteries have been placed, and some have been sent overseas to missionaries in difficult situations.
